I was going to ask a similar question, but for different reasons.

I have a friend who needs to put on weight. She has a number of health
issues. First, she's a paraplegic, due to a spinal cord injury. She also has
some autonomic disorders as a result of the same injury. Her big problem
with gaining/keeping weight is that she has very little appetite. She can go
for days when she has to force herself to eat even small amounts. The one
time she really did have an appetite was a couple of years ago when she was
taking drugs to treat TB.

Oh, and she really hates to cook, and exists mostly on junk food when she
does eat. But I think I'm having some influence on her, so maybe there is
room for change.

She asked me about bodybuilding supplements as a way of putting on some
weight. I said the only thing I knew off the top was to avoid anything
containing soy. Beyond that, I'm kind of at a loss.

Any ideas?

Irene
