Grant,

The question I would ask is, given the imporvements in your health and
lipids brought about by Neanderthin, why is it even necessary?

First of all, can we get any reference on who funded the study that says
grapes and wine have this effect? It wouldn't happen to be the California
wineries association (whatever it's called), would it? I'm always amazed
to find that these studies are often funded by the very groups who stand to
profit by favorable results and they're never questioned in the mainstream.
Like the recent study promoted by the FDA which recommends adding two more
servings of grain-based foods to your daily intake... funded by the Denver
Wheat Growers' Council. I'm screaming at the television and I'm the one
who's insane.

Personally, Atkins reminds me of L. Ron Hubbard. Each had a great idea,
then surrounded it and themselves with greed and commercialism so that it
became impossible to listen to anything either said and truly believe it,
even if I wanted to. The Atkins diet is a step in the right direction...
but a baby step. And the reason that Atkins never went the distance is
because he knows that he'll never get rich off a diet that allows no
desserts and no dairy. So he tries to make you believe that you need all
these nutrient supplements and fiber supplements to cover up the inherent
shortcomings in his diet. And, what luck, he happens to sell everything
you need to do it "right"! Let me guess, he's coming out with a line of
bioflavinoid supplements available from his website, right?

My harsh tone is directed solely at Atkins, Grant, not you. All I'm
thinking is that if Atkins and his diet were truly the right diet, you and
I wouldn't have switched to Neanderthin, right? So why listen to Atkins?
 (Especially if Neanderthin is working?)

Just my opinion (as always<g>),
John Pavao

Three glasses per day is the quantity refered to as being beneficial
according to the studies.

Far too much in the way of carbohydrates which "itself promotes heart
disease, not to mention disrupting blood-sugar stability and encouraging
diabetes" indicates Atkins.

He recommends getting your bioflavonoid protection from supplements.
