That's why I am hesitant. I have been researching this and it isn't
recommended for diabetics. But I don't know why my diabetes is so out of
control. I am on long acting insulin once at night plus oral meds. I don't
know what I am doing wrong eating-wise and am feeling quite frustrated...

If you decide to try it, I would just go right into it. The body will adjust
quicker than you think. Just pay very close attention to your blood sugar
levels. I highly doubt you will have a super spike. Potatoes have a high
glycemic index but a very low glycemic load. Again, this a "hack", this is
only for 2-8 weeks max.

Diabetes is a symptom that is classified as a disease. There are multiple
causes for getting the symptom(high) blood sugar). This is
counter-intuitive, however, it has worked for me and people I know

Potatoes are 360 calories per pound. It is very hard to over eat on them if
you are limiting yourself to 2 tablespoons of added oil a day.
Let me know if you give it a whirl and let us know what happens.
Good Luck,
David
