Lets not be paranoid and see conspiracy behind every food
item on the market.  There is no big conspiracy, there is
simply the net effect of self interest.  Food stores sell
what sells, they expieriment with new foods to see if
they sell, and they do it for money.
In a way, the current supermarket food selection is the
result of the evolution of the food suply driven by
consumer choice.
