A longterm study on several thousand patients in i think Finland showed
subjects with lower cholesterol had higher rates of violent death from
suicide and homicide.  The synthesis of all steroid hormones in the body
begins with cholesterol, so you could expect some weird deteriorations if
the liver is unable to make up the dietary shortfall.
