These seem to be excellent references. The reference on seeds contains the following statement.

"Living as wild animals for the last million years or so, we ate every seed that was worth collecting, grass seed, legume (bean-like, pea -like, peanut and others), and any other seeds that were sustaining and productive, or big enough to be worth bothering with."

In view of this I wonder why quite a number of our members seem to feel that seeds would not have been a significant part of our diet and so can not be considered paleo. There seems to be a feeling that they were too small to bother with or that they were poisonous. Another reference indicates our ancestors probably used fire for almost 2 million years so they would have learned how to treat seeds with heat where that was necessary.

I eat a lot of seeds and so I've been concerned about this apparent conflict. Should I be eating seeds or not?? I'd be grateful for further advice.
