On a related note (slightly), there's a new book out. Go to Amazon.com and
type in "The Origin Diet" for some real chagrins. Elizabeth Somer has
concocted a diet plan based on the paleo philosophy. Yeah, right!

She recommends no more than 20% protein from both lean meat and legumes.
She apparently laughs at the concept of avoiding beans on the grounds that
they can't be eaten raw. In fact, the review mentioned that this concept is
found in another book; she had to be referring to NeanderThin.

She also recommends whole grains to represent "wild grasses eaten by early
humans." Grains may have leaves, but aren't grains something completely
different from grasses by their very definition?

Clearly, this is the standard deal (food pyramid) in a caveman's suit. Or,
pure bullsh*t, whichever you prefer.

For more info, get the latest edition of Time magazine and you'll see a
review of the book near the back.
