I drink a lot of tea, none of which comes from the supermarket (or in a
bag). The green tea from the supermarket is a disgrace. I'm a tea/herb snob.

Republic of Tea http://www.republicoftea.com has some very good quality
black, green and herbal teas (loose or bagged; the bags are still high
quality). Lapsang Souchong is a very unique, smoky pine flavored fermented
tea. I love to drink it this time of year. "Sky Between The Branches" (gu
zhang mao jian) is one of the most extraordinary teas I've ever tasted. It's
one of their limited edition selections, and my tin is almost empty! "Big
Green Hojicha" is a tea that I often sip with meals. It's a roasted green
tea with a very unique, delicate yet smoky flavor. Another favorite is the
Green Tea with Cherry Blossoms (can't remember their catchy name for it).

I like Alvita and Seelect brand herbal teas. I buy them from
http://www.vitaminlife.com Also, http://www.frontierherbs.com sells bulk
herbs at great prices, you can get a full one-pound bag of herb for average
$5 (US). Some of my personal favorite herbs are nettle, red raspberry leaf,
lemongrass (brewed with a couple of cloves), chamomile, lavender, and
spearmint (used in blends).

Those of you on paleorecipe saw my dandelion root coffee post. I'd heard all
about dandelion root making a great coffee, but when I tried it I thought it
tasted nothing like coffee. Turns out I wasn't using *roasted* dandelion
root. This morning I had a cup of coffee made from roasted dandelion root,
tastes remarkably similar to coffee. Kukicha (twig) tea is a roasted tea
with a full body aroma similar to coffee. It's not completely caffeine free.
I use Eden brand loose (bulk) kukicha.

Stacie
