A request for list members - some of us get a daily digest of this list. Please, PLEASE don't resend copies of the original message over and over again back to the list. It becomes almost impossible to determine where one post ends and another begins. Thanks.

> Yesterday I had 8 ounces of lean turkey (ground) with 6 egg whites and I was sick as a dog.

This caused me to remember something a diet "guru" mentioned a few years ago (can't recall his name). Meat (protein) and fat are nearly always found "together" in nature. Carbs are almost always found separately from protein/fat (the notable exceptions being....neolithic foods like grains and legumes. How ironic).

His diet philosophy was to eat meals of protein/fat separately from carbohydrate meals. Although he was not paleo-oriented, I always thought that his observation was interesting.

Perhaps, David, you got sick becuase you went too lean for that meal? Adding a bit of fat might have taken the edge off and promoted better digestion. (C'mon, eat the whole egg :).
