I agree that we shouldn't be too quick to judge that one way of
life is inherently more or less satisfactory than another.  On
the other hand, the fact that the Inuit are happy in their
traditional ways doesn't mean that we who come from a different
background would be as happy if we tried to transplant ourselves.
It's possible, of course, and there are even some success stories
of this sort, but not enough to generalize.

Jean Liedloff was pretty happy living among the Yeqwana Indians,
but in the end she did not choose to stay with them.
