Good luck.  I live 10 minutes from Kansas City and used to live in Columbia
at the halfway point.  In the last five years I have yet to find a
restaurant here that served anything even close to a paleo meal.  When I do
eat in a restaurant in a paleo manner then it is *always* beef because that
is the only meat that I can find which is not bathed in some grain based or
sugar goo.   And then you have to ask for no salt or sauce still.

The health food stores here are even worse.  They are the grain bastions of
America and I have yet to find one that had any organic meats.  Nuts and
seeds, yes. Eggs, yes.  But no meat.

My advice is to locate camp sites and simply grill out on your own.  I think
you will be happier and healthier in the end.  Since it is summer you might
also consider being a fruitarian for a few days and enjoy the fruits.  That
would depend on your reaction to fructose though...
