I fully agree the nutritional needs/tolerances of individuals vary
significantly.  Dr. George Watson partly explained these differences in his
book "Nutrition and the Mind" (1972).  His explanation focused on an
individual's relative rate of glycolysis (burning of sugar) versus the rate
of the other energy cycles, particularly the citric acid cycle.

Thank you for mentioning bone marrow and pre-winter fat storage.
