Thought you might get a kick out of this Idaho 1899 dinner menu from a
hotel
in a boom silver mining town. The choices were:

oyster soup, boiled ox tongue, pork with applesauce, baked chicken
pie, fine
apple with rice caper sauce, roast prime of beef, young goose with
dressing,
pate of chicken livers

lobster salad

mashed potatoes, cream cabbage, string beans, pickled beets

green apple and custard pie, chocolate ice cream, marble cake, lady
fingers

tea, cocoa and coffee.
