Hi Tom:

I believe the Migraines were from the rapid drop in glucose levels. I went from a BG of 400 plus down to the mid 100's in about a week.

I went totally zero carb and think it was too fast at the time. However, I am perfectly happy today eating very low carb. Amazingly, I thought sweets would be my downfall. But it is warm, yeasty bread that is my hang up. Of course I don't eat bread most of the time. But sometimes I guess I look for troublean and have a piece of garlic bread if my daughter brings it home. Most of the time I am not tempted. But the is a rare occassion I do, then I feel guilty afterwards. Sometimes a bit headachey, too.

Now the migraines are further between and not as intense. I also think they are more hormonally related as they are cyclical.

When my BG gets below 100, I get very shakey and dizzy, a little muddle headed and nauseous. I am still working on my body becomming accustomed to normal BG levels.

One thing I have realized is that a nice piece of fatty meat really helps me feel better. it takes the symptoms away, and doesn't shock my system like a glucose tablet does.

I don't eat lean. I make sure to include the fat as I feel more energetic eating the fat. Also, since I have eaten fatty meat, my bad cholesterol has dropped about 35 points. That is amazing...

Trish

Paleo, especially low carb has helped with my seasonal allergies a lot.

Interesting. One of the main reasons I stick with paleo is that I have such

relief from migraines. I wonder what the difference is. For me migraines are

mainly wheat related.
