Someone's gonna say they are New World and therefore not. They are also
Solanaceae, which are toxic to some degree. I'd like to know more about
this issue, but in the meantime I've sworn off tomatos, peppers, eggplants,
and potatoes, of course. This was a big chunk of my diet previously,
including tomatillos, too.
