Zoe, I like to take the family to Home Town Buffet. The hubby can eat
his nasty carbs and I can eat all the roast beef and ham and fresh vegies
I want. You can eat Mexican, I order chili relleno with meat, occasion
cheese, dipped in egg and not the egg batter, chili verde, chili
colorado, salsa, shrimp cocktail Mexican style, there are a few Mexican
restaurants that don't use thickeners in their chili verde or colorado.
Chinese is a bit trickier, try Mongolian bar B que, you pick the stuff
that gets stir fried, even the sauces, many are sugar free. Italian, I
just stay away unless you go with a sea food dish or chicken with no
breading or pasta. Sometimes we go to Olive Garden, my hubby eats the
main dish and i eat the never ending salad bowl. HTH
Trish
