For what its worth, I think this discussion is on topic. The assumption
here is that if one eats in a paleo way, your immune system will be stronger
and you won't get sick. Therefore, you don't need vaccinations. There is a
bit of truth to this argument. I am pretty good about eating paleo (
although I do cheat a bit) and I never get sick. I am 47 and it has been
years since I had a cold or any illness. Sometimes I think I have got a
cold but it is "sub-clinical". My immune system is strong enough that I
hardly sneeze, hardly get a runny nose, still go jogging 4 times per week
and feel better in 2 or 3 days.

However, this does not mean that your children should not be vaccinated.
Dying of an infectious disease is "paleo". Our paleo ancestors were fairly
few in number even though there were lots of births. Why? Lots of them
died. They died primarily of: childbirth, trauma and infectious diseases.
Don't forget that microorganisms have a huge advantage over humans. Each of
our generations lasts 25 years. Theirs last 25 hours. So they evolve
faster than we can and they can kill us better than our immune system can
kill them.

So it is unnatural and unpaleo to immunize your children and it is unnatural
and unpaleo for them all to live to adulthood.

Ken
