Kathleen,

No flames from me at all.  It sounds like you are doing the right thing for
your child.  Why make eating food a battlefield?  That just doesn't make
sense and I think it causes more eating problems for the child later on (I
know for me it did).  They have so many peer pressures and don't want to
stand out and be different.  All you can do is the best for them while you
have them, sooner or later they leave home then hopefully everything you
have shown them will kick in.
