Dori, I called the Calif State Dept of Fish and Wildlife and it is the
opposite, it is against the law for them to give away meat because 'someone
might get sick'

So now, what could I do??

I'm thinking of posting a flyer at the largest butcher here who processes
wild game and asking hunters to phone me if they have extra meat and I will
pay their processing charges.

Any other ideas?

Mary
