Pills and $$$$ Why Your Local druggist wants you to go to
Wal-Mart or to order Online!

Wednesday I asked the local Druggist at the XXX food
market about "Empty Gelatin Capsules" He said, "Oh yes I
can order those for you! In the meantime I was talking to
another customer of the Food Market Pharmacy.

The Druggist could hear me telling a lady that I thought
that Garlic was an effective Anti-biotic and an Anti-Virus
medicine. And that I was going to put fresh mashed garlic
into those capsules so I could swallow them without burning
my tongue. Same thing I told the Druggist!

I returned on Friday to pick up the "Empty Gelatin
Capsules" : The Druggist told me that "since they were
so expensive he would only charge me ten percent over his
cost." That came to some $15.20 or so plus tax for a
box of 100 Capsules.

I objected, saying that: "That must be the price for
1000 not 100" as I saw the letter k on the price tag in
front of a 2234 number. He assured me that the price was
correct. I then said that I could buy capsules like that
at a lower cost full of vitamins. He still insisted that
the price he quoted was correct! Well I paid for them and
took them home. Then I got on the net and found out that
it WAS the price for 1000 capsules.

So I returned them to the store; A different druggist was
on duty. I explained the whole mess to him- and gave him
print outs of price quotes from two different "Online
Drugstores" that showed that what he charged me was the
price for 1000 capsules at two other sources. After a few
minutes he refunded my $16.xx.

I then ordered 1000 "Empty Gelatin Capsules" on the
INTERNET for $13.95 and a filler tray for $9.95 plus $7.93
Shipping.

Net total comes out $3.82 for the box of 100 capsules
that the local Druggist charged me $16.xx for.! But that
includes shipping and the $10 filler machine. So if
Wal-Mart sold them it would be about $3 per 100 or less.

Today asked another Druggist at another Supermarket how
much 100 "Empty Gelatin Capsules" might cost, He just
said maybe $10, without looking it up.

So? Do I ever dare buy a medical Prescription from one of
these guys. They both know that I am a real "Cheapskate."
Fortunately my family eats real food and we may have had two
prescriptions a year, One of those for dental work. But
can I trust these guys or should I go to the next town for a
bottle of pills, should the need arise?

What if I send copy of this to their boss.??? Will they
later fill a prescription accurately for me?

Why do they overcharge like this? Sometimes I have heard
feedback that If I try to help someone and a "Professional "
hears me recommend something better or cheaper than he
sells that I am a "Bad Guy". This includes some Major
Companies.

The first Druggist heard me tell one of his customers that
garlic cured my sore throat after two times of an expensive
Anti-Biotic that failed to cure it. I told him that I
needed the "Empty Gelatin Capsules" to put the mashed
garlic in as it burned my tongue if I ate it, which I had
done to cure my sore throat. I tend to think that he was
getting "even" with me! Well I am in a position to warn
the whole world about "Their Friendly Family Pharmacist."
Should I??

What do you think of this kind of "Stuff"?

I live in a small town and can not afford to start a fight.
So I am getting it off my chest by warning you??
