I am reading "Evolution And Healing" by R M Nesse and G C Williams,
a very intresting book. They point out that _all_ foods are more or less
toxic, especially vegetables, and among them the ones with strong taste
(they mention broccoli as an example of a poisonous veggie) are the worst.
The body is however prepared to cope with certain amounts of evolutionary
"known" poisons, but kids cannot cope with so much, and that is the reason
why they often dont like vegetables.
A man would not be able to eat what a deer eats, and a dog would be
poisoned if it ate an ordinary salad (that is why dogs don't eat it).
