The supreme weight-gainer was Ray's recommended paleo snack, pork
rinds dipped in almond butter. This is delicious, and I could
easily consume an amazing amount of the stuff, and gained the
weight to show for it.

I was wondering, have you read Cordain's book? He has a very different take
on the whole thing. He says eat only very lean meats, with turkey being the
leanest and shrimp close behind, and as much fruit and vegetable as you
want, and a limited amount of nuts if you are trying to lose weight (I think
he suggested about half a cup). I'm following his plan more than Audette's,
because it seems more healthy to me, and I seem to keep losing weight, even
though I don't need to (hopefully it will stop at some point!)
