Just check in the USDA books - trichinosis is virtually eradicated from
domestic pork.  Wild pigs - no, it wouldn't be considered safe to eat raw.
But many people, including USDA officials, eat pork rare.  I don't know of
anyone personally that eats pork raw, except my cats and dogs, but it can
be done as safe as any other raw meat.
