(I still have trouble GAINING on the paleo diet).

me too but since i started Dhea and more meats i have been able to
gain
little bit.

One thing I have noted is that many folks have mentioned they are
either
vegetarians or ex-vegetarians. The light bulb flashes over my head
when
I read about folks with autoimmune disease who are ex-veggies. I'm
sure
you've come across a lot of these folks too.

I started a vegetarian diet at the same time than the first signs of
adrenal
insuficiency occur.
The year before i was a semi professional soccer player in a special
soccer
school and we had for breakfast every morning piles of meats to
at( specially me i went crazy ,was eating the parts of many others)
. I
bet our coach who required those special breakfasts knew something
about
paleo manners.
I quitted soccer , started to be a rebel vegetarian , quitted sport
teacher
studies , made wrong competition, worked with mentally handicaped teen
agers
,went thru deep emotional hurts, got scared of going to prison for
refusing
army etc. turn the back to my family. and the whole society . 3 years
of
vegetative life later i end up to the hospital in a crisis.
as a kid i was not vegetarian but had my share of white wheat, dairy,
potato and white rice because we were poor
