I used to eat them raw by the handful straight from the packet. However,
i now know that I'm sensitive to grains and this was like an addiction.
I also used to eat barley and oats from the straggler plants that grow
on the edges of fields. They taste quite sweet whenyou get through the
fibrous stuff
I am Scottish but never liked porridge. <G>
