I recommend Peterson's "Edible Wild Plants."  Another one that I like,
but it's a regional one, called "Discovering Wild Plants" by Janice
Schofield. It covers plants in Alaska, Western Canada, and the Pacific
NW.  I have a lot of books on actual plant identification but they
don't tell you whether or not it's edible or not. Also, there are some
edible plant books by a man named Bradford Angier...they look to be
good although I don't own any of them.
