Hi folks,

My house mate has a number of health issues and I'm a little concerned
about
the treatment her doctor has put her on. I'd like to hear any comments
from
you guys....

She's been told she has coeliac and does very make every effort to
stay off
gluten. She also has thyroid problems and has endometriosis.

She has a lot of reflux and at the moment has an infection
"downstairs" as
she puts it!.

The doc has given her some tablets (cephloxin I think) for the reflux
and
anti-biotics for the infection.

My personal opinion is that she needs to have a lot more hydrochloric
acid
(or digestive enzymes) to help the reflux and I suspect that whatever
the
doc has given her will do the opposite and stop the acid which will
make the
problem worse in the long run.

I think the anti-biotics will play havoc with her intestines and
stomach and
will generally make all the autoimmune and reflux problems worse.

I'd sugested to her previously to stop caffeine and eating any sugar
and to
take digestie enzymes but she hasn't.

Shes' quite open to diet changes but thinks that her diet is good as
it is
and she can't afford to go to a private docotr who might sort her
out.

Any suggestions? Should I just not get involved?

Thanks, Alison
