I seem to recall reading that many fruit seeds contain toxins,
but I don't remember which fruits or which toxins.   I've also
read that our digestive system cannot breakdown the outer
shells of citrus seed and such.......perhaps, like sunflower
seed, you would have to break open such seeds to have
access to the inner kernal......and my teeth are certainly
not up for that.
