Naturopaths are not necessarily any better.  After six months on a low-carb paleo-type regime, I had not only lost fifty pounds and normalized my blood sugars, my lipid panel was absolutely exemplary.  So after congratulating me on the lab report, the alternative medical practitioner started telling me about how I needed to eat less meat and more whole grains....

I did not make another appointment with him.
