Neanderthals seem to have lived a very tough life. They used
their bodies very hard, all that muscle and bone wasn't
there for beauty contests. The cold was intense, and they
often suffered broken bones and the like. Not all arthritis
is from diet, a major cause is stress on joints that is not
allowed to heal properly.
