I have a Mikasa set of steel or almunium ( I think steel) and the
interior
is covered with a white porcelain type lining.
I'm using it to make soup right now.

Is this ok to use?

I mostly use cast iron (skillets) but do not have a cast iron pot.

I also have Paul Revere stainless but it's all busy on the stove right
now
melting suet.
