-- has beets and turnips as OK.

Now it is believed Cro-Magnon (ice-age era humans) and some predecessor
species cooked meat and no-doubt some plants (roots, bulbs, whatever they
are called). Maybe they are like these. I am not adverse at this
point to adding cooked turnips to my diet.
