Because it works. Also, I find that a meal containing predominantly
saturated fat provides me with much more energy than a meal containing
predominantly polyunsaturated fat ie sardines, salmon. I do eat oily fish
often -- either sardines or salmon daily -- but overall, I eat much more
saturated and monosaturated fat. This is especially true since adding coconut
oil (highly saturated) to my diet. I have also stopped taking fish oil
capsules.

Maybe it's just me, but there also seems to be something off about the logic
of not eating saturated fat because that's what what is trying to burn. It
reminds me of when one says not to eat cholesterol containing foods if one is
trying to lower cholesterol levels.
