I'm wondering whether Anchell's rule to eat only a single
non-meat food per meal, rather than summing carbs, has any
effect. On Neanderthin I ate lots of salads which, though low in
total carbs, included several different foods: lettuce, onions,
peppers, whatever. Although I can't imagine why, perhaps the
variety of carbs presents a greater metabolic challenge.
