>Raw cacao is hugely controversial.?

I have read - on more than one occasion - that the natives treated it as (or prehaps believed it was) the legendary "food of the gods". Many religious or spiritual rites revolved around cacao; and warriors would ingest it in large quantities, I think in a drink form, prior to going into battle.

Boy, I would like to try the pulp. Sounds wonderful.
