A friend of mine has parents that raise all their own beef.  My friends
father has agreed to sell and butcher a cow for us. All his cattle are
grass fed and then grain fed the last 2 months. 4 families, mine included
are going in on buying this cow.   He says he will butcher and wrap for
$2 a pound.  And we pick up ourselves.   We get our beef the end of June.
