Thanks for all your responses. On the iodine list they seem to believe that 
 seaweed is highly toxic with because it easily absorbs whatever is in 
seawater,  like arsenic, pcbs etc, so they recommend taking pure iodine (along 
with other  nutrients). I was wondering if anyone knew if meat,fat, or other 
low carb  foods supplied a fair amount of iodine to compensate.

You  could eat more seaweed.  It's very low in carbs and naturally contains
