I made a mistake. My Mr. Coffee has 5 trays.

Yep. I slice it with a setting of 6, which would be 6 mm, or about 1/4"
thick. The most time consuming part is I cut off the surface fat.
Sharpening the knife on a steel before you do this is a big help.
