This is the time of year that the gardens are producing so much great food.
Growing up my mother always had green beans and corn among the many other
things she grew.  I understand that corn is a grain, but in its fresh picked
state is it still not edible?  Also, why are green beans not to be eaten?  I
just love green beans, and they have always been a good staple in any diet I
have been on.  I guess I am missing my green beans and sweet corn. : (
