It's only rancid if the store hasn't kept it refrigerated.  It should have
a pleasantly nutty taste; if it tastes bitter, it's rancid, and should be
returned immediately.  The gel capsules of the oil don't go rancid, but
it's a very uneconomical way to buy it.
