Nope. The RO unit is attached to the incoming water
line BEFORE it enters the plumbing system. As is the
associated water softener. Everything is being
filtered.

Prior to installing the units our water bill ran about
$7-$8 per month. Now it runs about $8-$9 per month.
(Of course, this cost does not include whatever
electricity the RO unit uses or the salt for the
softener).
