I haven't posted in some time, but in the last year or so I've been working to reconcile the differences and similarities between various forms of diets.
My diet has evolved over time to become more and more simple.
Having been able to incorporate the best of several philosophies.
In a nutshell:
I eat my animal protein rare and everything else raw. Makes shopping and preparation that much easier.
Over time and with patience on my part, my better half has joined me in this style, though it wasn't that hard for him in that he was doing the "zone" for years. So now we are a mostly raw paleo family...it's a harmonious set of circumstances.
When eating out with friends I find no need to call attention to my diet, I just pick whatever on the menu suits my needs. There's always a nice large salad and some grilled fish or meat available. No one has commented yet and that's just fine.
