It's fine, as long as you're not allergic to it.

When I did a stint as a vegetarian, the heavy increase in dairy food intake
pushed me into a dairy allergy. I switched to soy, and quickly became
allergic to it.

Fortunately, my dairy-allergic son is fine with soy products. It is the
baby soy formula that got him through his early childhood. Now that he's
eleven, he prefers rice milk, with *lots* of cocoa added to it. I've been
enjoying rice milk for years.
