I believe whey is a byproduct, or what's leftover when you make cheese. Concerning
yeast coating on dry roasted nuts, I believe that is either nutritional yeast
(ideally) or autolyzed yeast (often another term for MSG) which they use and it is
not the same thing as baking yeast. MSG has its own set of known reactions
including headache, muscle and joint swelling and pain like arthritis. Peanuts are
also well known to be moldy even when fresh. I used to get that hangover reaction
to a lot of what I thought were allergens--and maybe they were. I believe the root
of it was candida albacans yeast fungus overgrowth systemically. That related to
mold, dust and yeast reactions. However, after a MAJOR dietary change and
cleansing and lots of non-dairy acidophilus and bifidus (HMF forte is the best
brand I've found) raw vegetable juicing, vitamin therapy and time, I only react
like that to a few things, like mushrooms. (Milk has other reactions) I have to do
very little of the above anymore, I consider myself pretty much recovered, so
there is hope. Also, restaurants are known for lacing their food with MSG
(monosodium glutamate) and who knows what else. I recently read a news article
talking about food hangovers, especially restaurant hangovers, and some of it is
related to too many ingredients, too complicated food, or just too much of it. As
far as the yeast rolls are concerned, are they white rolls? Did they have milk
powder in them? (they often do) Do you eat a lot of processed food? I've learned
alot along the way. You are welcome to email me personally, too, if you'd like to
know more about candida or anything else of a non-milk nature I may have said that
fits your situation.
