In a message dated 98-05-01 11:13:46 EDT, you write:

<< I would suggest trying the lactaid milk. It is supposed to work for
those with lactose intolerance. If you still experience the same
symptoms and the lactaid milk is the only source of dairy, then you
would probably be safe to assume that it is not lactose intolerance and
that it is milk causing the symptoms and therefore a protein allergy.

 Shirley,
This isn't always the case either. I cannot drink lactaid milk. It still has
too much lactose in it. Unfortunately, putting lactaid in the milk does not
get rid of all the lactose. If you are going to do it, then take the lactase
pills along with the milk. Thanks to all who informed me that the skin tests
were not completely indicative of milk allergy.
