I've taken the 1 hr glucose test twice. I got sick from it with my
first pregnancy but not my second. I am mildly lactose intolerant.
The symptoms were as if I had too much dairy - stomach cramps and
diarrhea. I had taken it on an empty stomach first thing in the
morning. My OB reassured me it couldn't have been the drink and that
it had to be something I had the day before. I'm not convinced
although I had no problems with the test with my second pregnancy. If
you wish to discuss this further, you can email me privately.
