Hi, Jill and others,

I don't post often but I am here in Spain where I have a 2-year-old
severely allergic to milk. He had a couple of anaphylactic reactions
and since I had unfortunately stopped breastfeeding him by then we
started feeding him a formula called Pregomin, made by Milupa.
I know this belongs to some multinational company but I don't
know if it is sold in the USA or what its name is there. But
it is the only formula we have here which is non-milk or soya
based, it is made with vegetal and animal hidrolized proteins
totally different from cow's milk's so he could have it in spite
of his serious reactions. It was very difficult to get him to eat
it at the beginning, but as the doctor said he did once he was
hungry enough :-( It helped to mix it with a little rice cereal
which made the taste better. He still has this formula mixed with
cereal twice a day (breakfast and night). By now even I have got
used to its funny smell.
