jen, that's when we first suspected it. my daughter wasn't projectile vomiting, but it seemed like more than spit up. pediatrician grilled me about my diet, & when she heard how much milk i drank, advised me to cut way back on dairy intake while nursing & see if that helped...and to watch her response to formula very carefully. couldn't tolerate dairy formula (major vomiting & screaming) but was fine w/ soy formula. ped then advised very slow & systematic intro to foods, & really avoiding more common allegens. at 11 mos had first bit of egg in a cookie, & couldn't handle it at all, but 'outgrew' the egg allergy (demo'd by both allergy testing & food challenge) only a year later at 23 mos of age.....at 12 mos the ped rec'd systematic skin testing BEFORE introducing many more different kinds of foods to avoid triggering big allergic reactions....

I've been reading a few of the archives, and I was wondering if any of you
realized your child was milk allergic while nursing? I am trying
to figure out if my son is allergic to anything besides milk. At this point
his allergies are not severe, but we have not yet started him on solids
(he's 7 months old) per the advice of our dr. I am sort of afraid
to introduce him to solids and find that he's allergic to more than milk (we
suspect
eggs and soy, too. But as I said, we are still trying to nail those down.)
