Lisa,

Get many opinions and be sure of the diagnosis before you drug your child.  I believe prescribing drugs to a child may just be covering up the symptoms.  I also believe that Ritalin is the LAZY way
out for our educational peers.  

It was suggested for my son by a teacher in daycare.  I took him for counceling, turns out he wasn't
in need of any medication.  He was a typical hyperactive 3 year old with asthma and allergies.
BTW, he's calmed down quite a bit.  Could be a stage.

And yes......Food can cause mood swings.  Has your child been tested for allergies??
