Milk is not universally  bad, unless we are the center of the universe.

Nor is it universally perfect, at least for those of us (admitedly in the
minority) who suffer or die from it.

It's there, and is ok in appropriate quantities.

For me an my son, the quantity is zero. For my two other sons and my wife,
greater quantities can be enjoyed (although the family's milk allergies
keep their overall consumption to a much healthier level).

I came to this list to learn and to share. My adult-onset dairy allergy and
my son's anaphylactic dairy allergy have taught us much. I wanted to share
this knowledge, and learn from what others have to say - mostly with regard
to non-dairy recipes, foods alerts, sources of dairy-free foods, etc. I am
not here to debate whether milk is a good food, or whether the rest of the
dairy-consuming population is making a huge mistake. It would be good,
however, for the general population to know that milk is implicated in a
few disorders, so that they might try a period of dairy avoidance before
going to greater extremes.
